The influx of technology has changed how organizations conduct their day-to-day operations. The advancement of modern technology has completely revolutionized the operationalization of business, in that companies no longer rely on the traditional means to undertake internal and external operations inter alia communicate with clients, organize resources for production, undertake supply and logistics, promote sales, and offer customer services. One of the modern technologies that has helped to promote a modern way of doing business is New Media Platforms, i.e., Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest, and others.

The New Media Marketing course touches on the fundamentals of online marketing and shows strategies businesses can use to significantly enhance their return on investment (ROI). Doing business online comes with features and characteristics that are not known in the traditional approach to marketers. This course details those features and emphasizes the importance thereof. It also provides the opportunity one turns to benefit when more focus is directed towards new media platforms (i.e., social media platforms).
